Understanding Your Options

HMO vs PPO

HMO: Usually cheaper, but you must stay in compliance with a strict network of doctors and get referrals to see specialists.

PPO: More expensive, but offers freedom to see any doctor without a referral, even out of state.

Metallic Levels

Bronze: Lowest premium, highest deductible. Good for major accidents.

Silver: Mid-range. Best value if you qualify for "Cost Sharing Reductions."

Gold: Higher premium, lower deductible. Best if you have frequent doctor visits.

Open Enrollment: Nov 1 - Dec 15

Outside of this window, you need a "Qualifying Life Event" (marriage, birth, job loss) to sign up.
