Walls-In Protection

Your condo association covers the roof and exterior, but everything inside is your responsibility. We help you find the right "HO-6" coverage for your unit.

What Is "Walls-In" Coverage?

It covers everything from the drywall inward: your kitchen cabinets, flooring, bathroom fixtures, and built-in appliances. If you have upgraded your unit, this is critical.

Loss Assessment Protection

If your association suffers a major loss (like a clubhouse fire) that exceeds their policy limits, they can assess every unit owner a fee. We include coverage to pay your share of that bill.

Condo Insurance FAQs

The HOA's "Master Policy" typically only covers the building's exterior and common areas (hallways, roof, lobby). It rarely covers the inside of your unit or your personal belongings. You need your own HO-6 policy for that.

You need enough to replace the interior structures: drywall, flooring, cabinets, lighting, and bathroom fixtures. A good rule of thumb is $60 - $100 per square foot, depending on the quality of your finishes.

If the condo association is sued for $2 Million but only has $1 Million in liability coverage, they can assess the remaining $1 Million across all unit owners. If there are 100 units, you owe $10,000. Loss Assessment coverage on your policy pays this for you. We recommend at least $50,000 in coverage.
