Privacy Policy
How Titanium Shield Insurance Agency collects, uses, and protects information submitted through this website.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy is issued by Volxz LLC, doing business as Titanium Shield Insurance Agency ("Titanium Shield," "we," "our," or "us"), an independent insurance agency located at 1955 W Hamlin Rd, Suite 213, Rochester Hills, MI 48309. We are not an insurance carrier — we place and service coverage with licensed carriers on behalf of our clients.
This policy describes how we handle information collected through titaniumshieldinsurance.com (this "Website") and through the quote, contact, and renewal-review forms on it. It does not cover information we may collect by phone, in person, or through a carrier's own website or portal once you are placed with that carrier.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in two ways.
Information you provide directly. When you submit a quote request, contact form, or renewal-review request, we collect what you enter into that form — typically your name, business name, phone number, email address, property or business address, industry or type of operation, and any notes or details you add about your coverage needs, current carrier, or renewal date. Some forms include an optional field asking how you heard about us. We only collect what a given form actually asks for; we do not separately collect driver's license numbers, dates of birth, or financial account information through this Website, though a carrier may request that information directly from you later in the underwriting process.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are viewed, general location and device type, and how a visitor arrived (for example, from a search engine, a referral link, or an AI assistant). Google Analytics operates using cookies and similar technology that Google, not Titanium Shield, controls; see Section 5 below. Separately, our site uses your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to remember which page and referral source first brought you to the site, so that a lead we receive can be attributed to the right marketing channel. This stored information is limited to the referring source, campaign parameters, and the page involved — it is not combined with your name or contact details inside that storage.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and provide the insurance quote, coverage review, or renewal review you requested;
- Prepare and submit applications to insurance carriers and wholesalers on your behalf;
- Service an existing policy, including certificate requests, endorsements, and renewal reviews;
- Communicate with you about your request by phone, email, or — only with your separate consent as described in Section 6 — text message; and
- Operate, maintain, and improve this Website, including understanding which pages and industries visitors are most interested in.
We do not use the information you submit through a quote or contact form to send unrelated marketing campaigns unless you separately opt in to that communication.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only as needed to do the work you asked us to do, or to operate the Website:
- Insurance carriers and wholesalers — to obtain the quotes, coverage, or renewal terms you requested. This is the core of what an independent agency does, and is the main reason your information leaves our office.
- Service providers who support our operations — our website host, our customer-relationship-management (CRM) system, and the email-delivery service that routes a copy of each form submission to our office, so that a lead reaches us even if one delivery path fails. These providers act on our behalf and are not authorized to use your information for their own marketing.
- Google Analytics — for the limited, aggregate website-usage purposes described in Section 5.
- As required by law — for example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or regulatory request.
We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes, and we do not sell mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent to anyone under any circumstances — see Section 6.
5. Cookies, analytics, and third-party links
This Website uses Google Analytics (Google tag / gtag.js) to measure traffic and site usage. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser; you can control or clear cookies through your browser settings, and many browsers offer a way to opt out of Google Analytics specifically. We do not currently operate a separate cookie-consent banner on this Website.
This Website also embeds a Google Maps view of our office location, which is subject to Google's own privacy practices when loaded.
Pages on this site link to carrier websites, social media profiles, and other third-party resources. Once you leave our Website through one of those links, that site's own privacy policy applies — we do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of sites we link to.
6. Text messaging (SMS) privacy
If we offer the option to receive text messages from us, that option requires its own, separate opt-in — submitting a quote form, providing a phone number, or agreeing to this Privacy Policy or our Terms & Conditions does not, by itself, enroll you in text messaging. See our SMS Messaging Terms for the types of messages we send and how to opt out.
Where you do opt in to text messaging, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent (including the date, the page or form where consent was given, and the version of this policy presented at that time) in order to send the messages you agreed to receive and to maintain a record that consent was properly given.
No mobile information or SMS opt-in consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This commitment applies regardless of any other language in this policy concerning service providers or business transfers: all such categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent. Your mobile number and opt-in status are used only to deliver the messages you requested and to work with the messaging platform(s) that send those messages on our behalf (currently anticipated to include EZLynx and its underlying carrier-messaging provider, Twilio, once that integration is registered and active — see our SMS registration checklist for current status).
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical precautions intended to protect the information submitted through this Website, consistent with those commonly used by small independent agencies. No method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you submit.
8. Retention
We retain information submitted through this Website for as long as needed to respond to your request, service any resulting policy, and meet our recordkeeping, insurance-regulatory, and tax obligations, and we retain text-messaging consent records for as long as needed to demonstrate that consent was obtained and to honor any opt-out. We have not adopted a single fixed retention period that applies to every category of information, since the appropriate length depends on whether a quote became a policy and what obligations attach to it.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us, at any time, what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not otherwise required to keep for insurance, legal, or recordkeeping purposes. If you opted in to text messaging, you can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP, as described in our SMS Messaging Terms. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory privacy rights; because those rights vary by state and may not apply to every visitor, we address requests on a case-by-case basis rather than asserting that a specific law applies to you.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as our service providers, products, or legal obligations change. We will update the effective date above when we do. Posting a revised policy does not, by itself, create or expand any text-messaging consent you have not separately and affirmatively given.
